My Predictions for Sunday’s Grammy Award Ceremony
(The Big Four)
Record Of The Year:
- Who Will Win: fun. (Gotye could sneak in a win here - and it would be justified).
- Who Should Win: fun.
- Who I Want To Win: fun. or Kelly Clarkson
Album Of The Year:
- Who Will Win: Mumford & Sons (although Frank Ocean is a serious threat to win here).
- Who Should Win: Mumford & Sons
- Who I Want To Win: Mumford & Sons
Song Of The Year:
- Who Will Win: Kelly Clarkson (I’m calling the upset here! “We Are Young” is still the frontrunner, but this category is where fun. could lose). All i have to say is Carly Rae Jepsen had better not take home a Grammy here. I will be extremely displeased. EXTREMELY.
- Who Should Win: Ed Sheeran (this wouldn’t even be sorta close if there was any justice in the music world. “The A Team” is simply a lyrical masterpiece).
- Who I Want To Win: Ed Sheeran
Best New Artist:
- Who Will Win: fun.
- Who Should Win: Ed Sheeran (Oh wait, he wasn’t nominated. Grumble, grumble). Either fun. or Frank Ocean should snag this. Hunter Hayes is the darkhorse in a category known for BIG shocking upsets.
- Who I Want To Win: fun.

My New Music Pick Of The Week! (3.28.12)
In her now decade long career, the original American Idol has given us hit after hit after hit. However, in “Dark Side” she has given us her best work to date and my favorite Kelly Clarkson song…EVER. Not only is her latest single catchy and ripe for spins at radio stations across America, but it’s honest, humble, fearful and endearing. Let’s face it, we all have our baggage. ”Dark Side” admits this fact and says…
Can you love mine? Can you love me, even with my dark side?
The trick here is how to tackle such a “downer” of a topic - and keep the song light, fresh and dare i say toe tappin. But Ms. Clarkson does just that. This is the perfect follow-up to the empowering “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)”. It’s truly a pleasure to be witnessing the artistic evolution of our original American Idol.
Kelly Clarkson Grabs Her Third U.S. Number One Single
Congrats to the original American Idol for snagging the new #1 song in the nation as “Stronger” leapfrogs Adele’s perfection of a song, “Set Fire To The Rain.”
