My Hero by the Foo Fighters (1998)
Since i’m up here in Washington for a little football in the snow, i thought i’d pour a little bit of Washington with a dash of football in a Flashback Friday mix bowl and see what pops out. And what do you know - one of my favorite songs ever.
This band formed in Seattle soon after one of the most celebrated and biggest selling Washington bands lost its lead singer. Their success was instantaneous and has continued for nearly two decades. In the late 90’s one of their songs was used in a somewhat cheezy high school football movie during one of its most dramatic moments. And all i can say to that is…”I don’t want…your life!”
